Hello,
I am an energetic individual with a true interest in GIS, Web Mapping and Remote Sensing technologies and applications.
I graduated from the University of León, Spain with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Geography and a Minor in Cartography in 2012.
During my degree, I obtained a Scholarship from the University of León, Spain where I had the privilege of participating in an International Exchange Program at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. For an academic year, I took classes of GIS along with studying geography of the state of Wisconsin.
Additionally, I obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Geography and Cartography from the University of León, Spain in 2013.
After I graduated with my Masters Degree, I worked as a research assistant for the University of Leon where I designed and built a series of forestry and land cover maps.
Thanks to the experience acquired, I achieved a membership in the Professional Geographic Institute (Colegio Oficial de Geografos), Barcelona. Through that membership, in 2013, I received a Certificate of Professional Geographer and Cartographer Technician.
In 2014 I committed myself to get more experience in the GIS field and Remote Sensing Technologies. So I decided to come back to Wisconsin, USA and applied for the GIS Certificate Program at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point; obtaining 3 different certificate programs in GIS, in 2015:

—GIS Focal Certificate in Cartography
—GIS Focal Certificate in Emergency Management
Presently, I am enrolled in Northeast Wisconsin Technical College learning how to design and build Responsive Websites and Web Applications.

About the Project
I was hired as a Freelancer to redesign a website for a client who owns a fence and decking business. There was a requirement by the client, I was asked to use a Web Content Management System to design the new website. So I used Wordpress since I was familiar with that kind of software.
I made a research around the area to see other business that provide similar services.
After knowing the audience, I started by creating a fully responsive site which also features heavy use of image galleries, which are lightweight and make it super sharp on retina screens.
The site also has interactive maps built in that display the location of the business with information relative to the owner´s company.

Website DesignAlice in Dairyland
I was asked by Alice in Dairyland Brown County, Wisconsin Committee to design their new identity and website.
Alice in Dairyland is not for profit organization directed by the Wisconsin´s Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection.
Each year a lady from a different County serves as Alice in Dairyland. As Wisconsin’s agriculture ambassador, her goal is to educate audiences across Wisconsin about the $88 billion economic impact and the importance of the state’s diverse agriculture industry in our daily lives.
The graphic design team supplied me with wireframes for the project but I was given almost total creative control to add content into the site.
The design features a number of hand drawn illustrations and typography. It was a brilliant project to work on and I'm really happy with the outcome.

Alice In Dairyland has been participating in different events in Brown County, WI as a Wisconsin´s Agricultural Ambassador.
I decided to build an application that showed the events chronologically, so the user could interact and see the location of the different activities.
Map Tour is an app for front-end developers and designers. It creates a great front-end development environment for displaying Geographical Information or for performing spatial analysis.

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is conducting Advertising Campaigns to drive brand awareness, engage with followers, and connect to
business communities in support of continuing education and training enrollment efforts and college goals.
I decided to build an application that showed the traffic that NTWC website is getting along the World.
In this case, the marketing team could focus in those areas that are growing and showing more interest in studying at NWTC.
Analytics is an app for front-end developers and designers. It creates a great front-end development environment for displaying Geographical Information or for performing spatial analysis using Google Analytics Data from websites.
